ACADEMIC DIRECTOR
 
Requirements:
Master's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
Proven leadership experience in an academic setting, with a track record of success in driving educational initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving results.
Knowledge of ESL teaching methodologies and best practices.
Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
Relevant certifications and credentials in education leadership or related areas are a plus.
Can work Onsite (Office-based)
Job Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive academic roadmap aligned with MeRISE's strategic goals and mission.
Conduct an annual review of the academic roadmap, making adjustments based on data analysis and market trends.
Spearhead the development and implementation of a data-driven academic curriculum across all programs (Study Abroad, Eikaiwa, Hatsuon, Taiwan) that incorporates best practices in ESL instruction and aligns with evolving student needs.
Conduct a comprehensive curriculum review at least twice every year to ensure teaching materials remain current and effective.
Design and deliver comprehensive professional development programs to enhance teacher skills and knowledge in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Implement a system for ongoing coaching and mentorship for teachers to cultivate a growth mindset within the academic team.
Oversee all aspects of academic programs (Study Abroad, Eikaiwa, Hatsuon, and Taiwan), ensuring smooth operation and delivery.
Establish and implement a system for regular program evaluations using data analytics to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement data-driven action plans to continuously improve program effectiveness and student learning outcomes within a set timeframe (e.g., peak seasons, non-peak seasons)
Foster open and consistent communication across all levels of the organization, including academic team, staff, students, and management.
Develop and implement strategies to increase student and parent satisfaction with academic programs.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., marketing, recruitment, admin, Japan staff, and management) to ensure alignment and support for academic initiatives.
Design and implement key performance indicators that effectively measure QA performance on a monthly basis. 
Conduct coaching sessions and escalate poor or non-performance of academic team members. 
Effective management of teacher and leader assignments for corporate clients.
