Job Description
1. Perform routine maintenance on A/C chillers and HVAC systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. This involves cleaning coils, changing filters, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting refrigerant levels.
2. Diagnose the issue and make necessary repairs. This can involve replacing faulty components, such as compressors, valves, or motors.
3. Handle refrigerants safely and perform tasks like charging and recovering refrigerants as needed for maintenance and repair work.
4. Responsible for adjusting and fine-tuning control systems to maintain desired temperature and humidity levels throughout the hotel.
5. Should be involved in optimizing A/C systems for energy efficiency to reduce operating costs while maintaining guest comfort.
6. In the event of HVAC emergencies, such as system failures or leaks, they respond quickly to mitigate the issue and restore service.
7. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work, including equipment logs and service reports
8. Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or hotel staff on proper usage and maintenance of A/C systems.
9. Ensure that all work is in compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
1. Required: FIVE-STAR hotel experience in a similar role is a must.
2. Must holds a relevant HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) certification or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution or technical school.
3. Should have several years of experience in servicing and maintaining A/C chillers and HVAC systems, preferably in a commercial or hotel setting.
4. In-depth knowledge of A/C chillers, refrigeration systems, and HVAC equipment. This includes understanding the principles of chiller operation, refrigerants, and electrical systems.
5. The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC problems and chiller malfunctions is crucial.
6. Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and chemicals.
7. Precision and attention to detail are vital when working with intricate A/C systems to ensure they function efficiently.
8. Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with other hotel staff and supervisors and providing clear explanations to non-technical personnel.
9. The role may involve lifting heavy equipment, climbing, and working in confined spaces, so physical fitness is important.
10. Should have a customer service-oriented approach and be courteous when interacting with guests and staff.
