3D MODELER / RENDERER
About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Draftsman/3D Modeler to join our creative and technical team. In this role, you'll help bring home accessory design ideas to life by transforming concepts into precise technical drawings and 3D models ready for production. You'll collaborate closely with a supportive team where projects are assigned based on skill level, and teamwork is key to success.
What You'll Do
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for both custom and standard furniture lighting and accessory items
Follow directions and specifications provided by the design manager received from designers or clients
Translate design briefs, sketches, and thumbnails into production-ready documents
Collaborate with fellow draftsmen to divide tasks efficiently and leverage each other's strengths through teamwork
Troubleshoot design challenges and provide support to teammates as needed
Ensure all drawings meet quality standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing requirements
Follow drawing office drawing standards and working procedures
Maintain organized and up-to-date design files and revisions
Prepare technical drawings, layouts, and shop drawings for manufacturing
Keep accurate records of drawings, revisions, and specifications
Deliver drawings on time to support production schedules
Review and verify drawings for accuracy prior to manufacturing
What We're Looking For
Diploma or degree in Drafting, Industrial Design, or a related field
Will consider self-taught and OJT applicants with strong skills in the following areas
Skilled in AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Rhino, Sketchup, Vray, 3D rendering and Photoshop
Ability to produce 3D models for rendering and 3D models with construction for manufacturing
Strong understanding of technical construction methods for mixed within the home accessory, lighting, accent furniture, or related fields
Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and multitasking
Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback
Ability to draw by hand to communicate ideas
Bonus Points If You Have
2+ years of experience in home accessories, lighting, or jewelry design or development
