Directors in this role get to:
Drive business results: By understanding and meeting workforce planning needs, and developing and implementing strategies to source qualified, diverse candidates and manage a team of recruiters and managers to meet business requirements from internal, external and / or referral candidate pools.
Administers the recruitment process: Ensures compliance with government regulations regarding employment and develops the department's performance improvement process.
Take the lead: Lead and implement the recruiting process by understanding hiring manager's needs, establishing strong relationships with business partners, identifying productive sources and overseeing a talent acquisition team that embraces change and can continually deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Be the expert: Interpret internal employment demands and translate them into timely, results-driven action items.
Keep the business running: Develop and implement recruitment programs ensuring effectiveness, consistency and compliance with overall strategic planning. Ensure recruitment systems and other recruitment related technologies are meeting the needs of the business and ensure the recruitment team is disciplined in their day to day use of recruiting technology based on Corporate standards.
Support the team: Provide tactical and strategic support for all sourcing and recruiting needs for the geography, including developing and administering policies, procedures, controls and best practices. Serve as a primary source of staffing and recruitment strategy advice, consultation and education.
Oversee department budget: Manage the department's budget to control for cost-per-hire and maximize the value of the team's investments.
Define Sutherland's reputation: Oversee the plan, design and coordination of large scale recruitment events like career days and job fair, including support through localized print, direct mail and media-based recruitment campaigns.
Strengthen relationship: Design and implement campus and community recruitment programs and build a strong rapport with partners in the assigned region. Build and maintain strategic partnerships, both inside and outside of the organization, to consistently drive innovation. Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.

Qualifications:
Our most successful candidates will have:
Minimum of high school diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree if offshore
Five or more years of experience in Recruiting
Seven to ten years of leadership experience
Strong oral and written English communication skills
High sense of urgency and strong follow-through is essential
Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Proven record of meeting deadlines consistently
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
