Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Visualization Engineer to work with our PowerBI platform. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining visualizations and creating reports that help our organization make better decisions. The Visualization Engineer will also provide technical support to users of the PowerBI platform.
Responsibilities
Design and create interactive PowerBI dashboards with visualizations that are tailored to the organization's needs, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data.
Develop complex data models and query logic to optimize the performance of PowerBI visualizations.
Utilize PowerBI and other reporting tools to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
Take ownership of data quality, integrity and accuracy, as well as the usability of the PowerBI reports.
Collaborate with other teams to extract data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Monitor performance of PowerBI visuals and dashboards, and ensure that they are meeting the organization's needs.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of PowerBI and its features, including visualizations and data models.
Strong understanding of PowerBI architecture and capabilities
Expertise in SQL, data modeling and ETL processes.
Expertise in data analysis and data mining
Knowledge of SQL, DAX and other related programming languages is an advantage
Ability to interpret and analyze data to create meaningful visualizations.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams.
Understanding of data security best practices
Experience in Insurance/Reinsurance domains will be an added bonus
Additional Information
Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
Experienced Data Visualization / BI Engineer with at least 3-5 years of experience in PowerBI.
